Professor Gerry O'Sullivan Memorial Lecture
The Professor Gerry O'Sullivan Lecture is awarded annually at the Southern Symposium on Foregut Cancers to a surgeon at the forefront in their field. Beneficiaries receive the Gerry O'Sullivan Medal awarded by the College of Medicine and Health, University College Cork.
In 2015 the 4th Professor Gerry O'Sullivan Lecture was awarded to Professor Michael Goggins, Professor of Pathology, Medicine and Oncology, Director of Pancreatic Cancer Early Detection Laboratory, Sol Goldman Pancreatic Cancer Research Center,
Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Lecture Title: Genetics of Pancreatic Cancer and its Implications.
