About Dr James Clover
Mr James Clover is a working to develop novel treatments for Skin cancer, including Basal Cell Carcinoma and Malignant Melanoma. He is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Cork University Hospital and Clinical Senior Lecturer at University College Cork, and is clinical lead for Electrochemotherapy.

Mr. James Clover is an academic Plastic Surgeon with a strong interest in novel approaches to improve treatment of skin cancers with a combined academic and clinical practice. James trained in the United Kingdom, receiving his medical degree from the University of Nottingham, a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Leicester, before completing his specialist training in Oxford developing academic collaborations with the Department of Biomaterials, University of Oxford and Wolfson College.
Prior to his consultant appointment was instrumental in developing a successfully funded plastic surgery research program at University College Cork. Now, James leads the clinical delivery of Electrochemotherapy, a treatment for cutaneous cancers developed in part through the Cork Cancer research Centre. He is a committee member of InspECT, (The International Network for Sharing Practice on Electrochemotherapy). He is conducting and directing phase 1 and phase 2 human research trials conjunction with the CCRC aiming to increase the evidence base and scope of Electrochemotherapy.
