In 2017, CCRC facilitated the extended research of a transition year student, Conleth Aspel from Colaiste Treasa, Kanturk. Co. Cork.
Conleth was awarded first prize in his category (Senior Individual; Biological and Ecological Sciences) at the BT Young Scientist Competition, January 2018. Conleth’s project was entitled ‘Short Term Fasting Influences the Chemosensitivity of Oseophageal Cancer Cells. This is a fantastic achievement for a very talented and dedicated young student. Hopefully we will see him back here in UCC in the future!
