FREE PUBLIC TALK ON NEW CANCER TREATMENTS

New treatments available for cancer will be discussed by world cancer experts from the USA and Europe in a free public information evening “The Promise of Gene Therapy – Newest Cancer Treatments” on Thursday, September 3rd. The event is hosted by Cork Cancer Research Centre (CCRC) and will take place at the Lifetime Lab, Lee Road, Cork at 6.30pm. Everyone is welcome.

Five specialists will share the new treatments they have pioneered for cancer patients. The specialists will be in Cork to participate in a three day international conference on cancer gene therapy. They will discuss cancer research, clinical trials, the prognosis for gene therapy, and in addition, what is gene therapy and why gene therapy is seen as one of the leading treatments in the future of treating cancer. All of the presenters will be available for discussion at the end of the talks.

  • Immunogene therapy and Leukaemia
  • Immunogene therapy of Gastrointestinal Cancers
