23rd July - 25th July 2010 - The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk
Planning for The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk 2010 is well underway and we’d be delighted if you would join us this year and help us raise €100,000 through this event for the continuance of research programmes at Cork Cancer Research Centre.
The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk will be based in Kenmare and will take place from Friday, 23rd to Sunday, 25th July. All information regarding this year's event is available on www.kerrywaycancerwalk.ie and plenty of information and guidance regarding the walk routes, essential items to bring, accommodation, training, etc, can be found on this site.
We understand many people find the fundraising aspect of the event daunting, but by being original and planning ahead, the fundraising can be as rewarding and enjoyable as the event itself. To make the task of fundraising less daunting, we have provided sample fundraising plans, posters, tips and ideas of how to fundraise on the site, to spark the imagination and help you get started.
Please spread the word to family, friends and colleagues who may be interested in participating in The Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk this year. In the meantime, you can register online or if you have any queries, please contact the Development Office at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. October 2010 - Corporate Quiz for Cancer Research
Cork's business community will be quizzed at the Rochestown Park Hotel in early October. The 2007 event was a great success, with nearly 150 teams participating and raising over €80,000 for cancer research. This year the winning team will walk away with the Dermot Desmond sponsored Perpetual Trophy, with many more prizes to be won on the night!
We are living in challenging economic times, however research needs to progress if we are to continue advancing cancer treatments and positively impacting patients lives. To maximise participation, we are setting team fees at €200 for a team of four.
