Every Day Counts in the Fight Against Cancer
Through the 'Every Day Counts' fundraising campaign, we can help buy some time and influence the future.
This campaign was designed by a patient of the CCRC to help people understand the importance of just one day in the fight against cancer.
If we each sponsor one day in 2010, then together we can raise substantial money for cancer research.
- simply donating a cheque of €100 to the Cork Cancer Research Centre
- raising €100 (or more) by organising an event on the day allotted to them, e.g. coffee morning, swear box, bed push, fun run, table quiz, etc, etc.
In order to support sponsors / fundraisers, a promotional poster is available from the Centre to help people raise awareness of their fundraising initiative for CCRC. The posters can be pinned up in sponsors' offices, schools, libraries, sports clubs, local post offices, etc.
Dr. Declan Soden, General Manager of CCRC, believes that this initiative touches on one of the key aspects of the Centre’s work. “We’re involved in Europe wide research programmes designed to improve the efficacy of current treatments, which means that the work we do here can be quickly brought to help patients currently going through treatment. Every day really does count in getting these improved treatments to cancer sufferers.”
All funds raised through the ‘Every Day Counts’ campaign will go directly to cancer research. For further information, please us in the Development Office on +353 21 490 1437 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
